Riding Lessons
Learning to ride can be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life! At Calypso Run Farm our goal is to teach rider and mount to work together to ensure a mutually satisfying experience. Our focus is on safety and fun as well as education. Our lesson horses are well trained and very quiet. The student will learn all aspects of riding to include grooming and tacking up.
What you can expect.
An encouraging and safe environment that involves the student in all aspects of care of their mount. We teach proper technique both on the ground and while mounted using natural horsemanship techniques and teach a basic balanced position that can be applied to any style of riding.
Private and Semi Private Lessons
Calypso Run Farm offers private and semi private lessons to ensure maximum attention and participation. Specialty classes, such as Pony Pals, Barn Days and Barn Crew augment the lesson program. Information on those classes can be found on the menu buttons. Prices vary for the specialty classes, but the lesson package price is $180 for four one hour lessons with no contract. The lessons can be used as you choose, i.e. used for a private, semi-private or Barn Crew. Semi private lessons are the same price but last 1.5 hours. Single private lessons are $60.
